The body becomes a guide for noticing sensation, building regulation, and moving gently.

The Body as Guide

Trauma impacts the nervous system. It may show up as hyperarousal, shutdown, dissociation, chronic tension, or difficulty feeling safe.

Somatic Therapy centers the body in healing. We track sensations, breath, posture, impulses, and subtle shifts in the body. Rather than retelling painful stories, we focus on what is happening in the present moment, building regulation and increasing capacity for embodied experience.

Through slow, gentle, attuned work, the body is supported in releasing patterns of protection that were once necessary. Integration happens gradually, without pushing beyond your capacity.
