Compassionate Parts Work
My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), which views the mind as composed of distinct parts, alongside an inherent core Self characterized by curiosity, calm, clarity, compassion, and confidence.
Protective parts develop to help us survive overwhelming experiences. Rather than pathologizing symptoms, we approach these parts with curiosity and compassion. From a grounded core Self, trauma can be witnessed and integrated without force.
By strengthening access to a grounded, compassionate core Self, we create the conditions for healing. Trauma is not forced open; it is witnessed in relationship. From there, transformation becomes possible.
